You deserve to inhabit your whole life—the magic and the mess.

Emily Souder is an author with a background as a licensed therapist who writes books to inspire readers to engage in meaningful self-reflection, to help people feel less isolated during vulnerable times, and to encourage inclusion of joy and magic in daily life.

Her work is a lantern in the fog, for the hard seasons and the magical ones.

Magic is still out there, let’s find it together.

Modern life can feel like it’s scrubbed all the magic out. But it hasn’t.

Magic still moves through your days like a black cat weaving between your ankles — quiet, unhurried, entirely unbothered by your to-do list. Even alongside the parts of life that feel weighted and heavy, there is room to welcome a bit of cozy, gentle wonder.

Emily writes for the part of you that knows there’s more than what’s on the surface. Her books are invitations: to sit with yourself, to feel less alone in the hard stuff, and to crack the window open for a little wonder.

Because we’re here in these human bodies just this once (at least as far as we know) and that feels like reason enough to explore every corner of the experience.

Meet Emily

Emily is an AuDHD millennial, a sandwich-generation human (two kids + aging mamas on both sides), a Reiki Master Practitioner, and co-founder of a witchy therapist book club. She’s warm, a little silly, and not even slightly interested in pretending grief and joy can’t exist in the same room.

Connection is one of the most important things to her — and it shows.

She lost her dad in January 2026, which means grief isn’t just a clinical topic for Emily. It’s personal, present, and something she holds with both hands.

The credentials behind the magic

Emily brings serious clinical roots to everything she does — even when she’s leading you through a forest at bedtime.

She holds workshops & trainings on: Birth story processing · Perinatal loss story processing · NICU story processing
